Mumbai: On its 50th anniversary, the Marathi Department at the University of Mumbai has organized certification courses on Marathi. The department has also made several changes in the syllabus for academic year 2022-2023. This certificate course will introduce the updated nuanced syllabus with an emphasis on language skills. The admission process for the certification course in Marathi will go on till 15th July 2022.

“In the cosmopolitan city like Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, Marathi is the major language for communication, expression, business, education and transaction. However, due to inadequate knowledge of Marathi language, many people face difficulties in communication in day-to-day life... Hence, this certificate course is an excellent opportunity to learn Marathi for Non-Marathi speaking people,’ stated the department of Marathi in a circular.

The application process is accessible both offline and online.
