JEE Main 2019: NTA begins conducting exams amid extensive security, 1.8 lakh students appear on Day 1

The first batch of 1.80 lakh students appeared for B.Arch and Planning admissions yesterday as Joint Entrance Examination and JEE Main 2019 January exam was flagged off by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The CBT format entrance exam will start from today. According to the reports, more than 9,29,198 students have registered for the JEE Main 2019 First Attempt exam. NTA will conduct the next examination on April of this year.

For the very first time JEE Main 2019 exam will be held using computers. The examination would be held in 467 centres across 258 cities today. Extensive security features have been implemented for the examination.

The security is so tight that NTA has employed more than 4000 jammers to block any kind of mobile interference. Apart from these, NTA has also setup live streaming CCTV Surveillance in all the examination centres.
