While the ICC Cricket Men's Cricket World Cup 2019 is at its last stage, many fans, as well as cricketers, are not happy with ICC's preparations for this World Cup. The rains have had a greater toll this time, washing out matches where one could witness exciting encounters.
There are three matches left in this World Cup. And all the three matches have a shadow of rain over them. Keeping this in mind, ICC has arranged one reserved day each for both the semi-finals and the final. If it rains on the day of semi-final 1 match, then the match would be on the reserve day. If either of the days is graced with rains, then the team with a higher position in the team will qualify for the final. In the case of India vs New Zealand, it would be India.
Same is the case with the semi-final 2 match between Australia and England. Australia will qualify on the basis of their position in the points table if rains wash away the match.
However, this is to be noted that if the match ends in a tie, super over would decide the final qualification. And if rain interrupts the match during any innings, it would not restart again. It will continue from the same score the next day.
For the finals, if both the days are graced by the presence of rain gods then the two teams would share the trophy. If the match ends in a tie, super over will decide the winner of the trophy.
