During yesterday’s match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI), Yuvraj Singh reminded everyone of his old avatar after hitting three consecutive sixes off Yuzvendra Chahal’s over. Yuvraj came in to bat at no. 4 after dismissal of Rohit Sharma and he executed his work well hitting quick-fire of 23 runs of 12 balls.
Yuvraj started slowly with 5 runs of 8 balls, but during Yuzvendra Chahal’s bowling in 14th over, the left-hander decided to go for some big shots. He then smashed first three balls of the leg-spinner to maximums, creating a huge thrill among crowd. On the 4th ball, however, Yuvi was caught by Siraj on long-off while attempting to another six. Here is the video of the same.
In his short innings, Yuvi did the damage he sought to do with his batting. Later, Mumbai Indians were able to post 187 on the scoreboard, thanks to Hardik Pandya’s 32 off 14 balls in the end. RCB fell short of six runs while chasing, and even great batting by Virat Kohli (46) and AB de Villiers (70) could not bring victory for RCB.
