When you are the son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, it’s imperative to be in limelight and have expectations from all over the world. However, Arjun Tendulkar has been working hard to stand up to expectations. Recently, playing for the MCC Young Cricketers – he took out the off stumps of Surrey 2nd XI batsman Nathan Tilley by bowling a swinging delivery, which Tilley could not even touch. He was dismissed for four runs by the 19-year-old all-rounder.
As he celebrated his wicket, the Lord’s Cricket Ground’s official twitter handle posted the video praising the young lads’ bowling skill. The caption said, “Arjun Tendulkar, take a bow!"
Through the day, Arjun bowled 11 overs at an economy rate of 4.55 with four no balls and returned with figures of 2/50. Arjun got his break in the India U-19 team last year against Sri Lanka. He took his first wicket, just by bowling 12 balls at the Nondescripts Cricket Club ground, Colombo in July 2018.
