Mumbai: NCC Ltd reported a year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, with profit after tax rising to Rs 228.9 crore from Rs 204.5 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Revenue from operations increased to Rs 5,811.8 crore from Rs 5,179.0 crore a year ago. Compared with the March 2026 quarter, revenue moderated while profitability remained higher, reflecting sequential resilience despite the absence of exceptional items.

Opening Performance Summary

Consolidated total income for Q1 FY27 stood at Rs 5,842.5 crore, up from Rs 5,207.9 crore in Q1 FY26, while total expenses increased to Rs 5,534.0 crore from Rs 4,941.5 crore. Profit before tax rose to Rs 311.6 crore, compared with Rs 266.4 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Sequential Performance

Compared with Q4 FY26, revenue from operations declined from Rs 6,232.7 crore to Rs 5,811.8 crore, while total income fell from Rs 6,251.0 crore to Rs 5,842.5 crore.

However, net profit after tax improved to Rs 228.9 crore from Rs 216.8 crore, and profit before tax increased to Rs 311.6 crore from Rs 299.6 crore.

The March quarter had included an exceptional expense of Rs 33.67 crore relating to employee benefits following implementation of new labour codes, whereas no exceptional item was reported during Q1 FY27.

Key Drivers

Employee benefits expense increased to Rs 225.8 crore from Rs 203.1 crore a year earlier, while finance costs declined to Rs 213.5 crore from Rs 235.1 crore.

Depreciation and amortisation stood at Rs 64.6 crore, compared with Rs 69.3 crore in Q1 FY26. Earnings per share (basic and diluted) improved to Rs 3.45 from Rs 3.06 in the corresponding quarter last year.

According to the company's press release, NCC secured fresh orders worth Rs 3,882 crore during the quarter, taking the consolidated order book to Rs 81,214 crore as of June 30, 2026.

The filing also reports FY26 consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 20,823.0 crore, total income of Rs 20,944.4 crore, and net profit after tax of Rs 724.0 crore.
