Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who made his debut as a director with 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' in 1998, recently revealed who he would cast in the film's sequel.
Karan is busy with the promotions of his chat show 'Koffee With Karan 7'. During one of his interviews with ETimes, Karan said that if 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' had a remake, he would cast Ranveer Singh as Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt as Kajol. He also said that it would be interesting to see Janhvi Kapoor as Rani Mukerji.
The hit movie featured a love triangle involving Shah Rukh, who played the role of college sweetheart Rahul, Kajol, who was his best friend Anjali, and their friend Tina, played by Rani.
The film also starred Salman Khan, Sana Saeed, Anupam Kher, Archana Puran Singh, Reema Lagoo, Farida Jalal, Johnny Lever, and others.
Meanwhile, Ranveer and Alia will be seen together on the big screens for the second time in 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'. The film brings back Karan as a director after close to six years as his last film was 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
The film is set to arrive in cinema halls on February 10, 2023.
