BHOPAL: The women hockey team that represented the country in Tokyo Olympics arrived here in Bhopal on Monday. The team had reached semis of the Tokyo Olympics and state government had announced to felicitate the members.
The hockey team reached Raja Bhoj airport in afternoon. A large number of well-wishers had gathered outside the airport to welcome the champions.

The state government will felicitate the players in Minto hall on Tuesday. The event is scheduled at 2 pm, in presence of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who is chief guest to the occasion. The minister of sports and youth welfare Yashodhara Raje Scindia and Narendra Dhruv Batra, the president of Indian Olympic association and of the International hockey federation (FIH) will also be present during the event.

The team members will also receive cash reward of Rs 31 lakh each during the event.
The team landed at the airport in afternoon. A large number of hockey supporters gathered around to click selfies with the team. The sports lovers garlanded the girls outside the airport.
