Sehore : The Upper Sessions Judge Rakesh Kshotriya on Thursday sent a Sarpanch and Panchayat Secretary to jail for five years, and also imposed a fine of Rs 35000 on them. Leela Kishan Gujjar was the public prosecutor for the above metioned case.
According to the information, disclosed by the prosecution, Sarpanch Om Prakash, and secretary Rajpal showed names of labours such as Ratan Kuar, Gajraj, Bhanwar Kuar, Gulab, Babulal and many others, but they never came for work. A duplicate muster roll was prepared to show their workings.
The duo also had prepared bills worth Rs 2.40 lakh, from a firm known as Gaur Traders for cement and iron rods. But this firm never existed.
Doraha police have registered a case under sections 467, 468, 420B and 471 and the court has sent the accused to five years jail and has imposed a penalty of Rs 35000 on them.
