IG said that the accused used to commit the crime in the outskirts of the city and used to flee to Raisen. Before committing the crime they used to get high on drugs so that they can drive the bike at high speeds. They used to distract the victim by asking for some local address. They had selected mainly three routes to commit the crimes including Anand Nagar-Bypass-Piplani-Govindpura, Rapadia Bypass-Bagsewania-Govindpura and Chuna Bhatti-Shahpura-Kamla Nagar-Kolar.
