I-T raids on Aaganwadi meals manufactures , 85 lakh cash, 15 lockers discovered.
BHOPAL : The Income tax (I-T) raids on owners and associates of MP Agro Nutri Food Private Limited continued on the second day on Wednesday. I-T sleuths have found a string of evidence of tax evasion in the raids on Hridyesh Dixit, Avdhesh Dixit and Sunil Jain – partners in the company.
The I-T sleuths have completed their operation in the Char Imli residence of the Dixit brothers and in the houses of two GMs of MP Agro Industries Development Corporation but are on the job at the remaining locations.
Evidence of ‘desi hawala’ and money laundering have been unearthed in the raids. It has been discovered that the owners of the company used to rotate their black money through accounts of different persons to evade taxation. The bank accounts of the persons concerned are being scanned.
According to I-T sources, the Group evaded taxes to the tune of crores of rupees. Around Rs 85 lakh in cash and 15 lockers have been unearthed in the raids. The documents recovered from various establishments showed manipulation of accounts and bogus expenses.
Sources said that expenses were inflated to save taxes. Pen drives, mobile data, computers and laptops have been seized, on the basis of which further action would be taken. Sources said the data deleted from the devices would be retrieved by the department.
