BHOPAL: The government, under the fourth round of increasing the strength of Police Force, has sanctioned 5000 new posts. With this, the number of sanctioned posts in MP police would be 1,12,207.
Additional Director General (planning) Pawan Jain said sanctioned posts include 242 posts of Inspectors, 240 posts of Sub-inspectors, 707 posts of Assistant Sub-inspectors, 1056 posts Head Constables, 1999 posts of Constables and others. Jain said 1542 new posts have been sanctioned for 419 Police Stations and Chaukis. To strengthen traffic management system in the state, 29 posts of Inspector In charge Traffic in 33 districts have been created and in all 225 new posts have been sanctioned. Jain said 15 new police stations and 23 new Chaukis have been sanctioned and nine Police Chaukis have been upgraded as Police Stations.
