State- level small industries promotion board constituted

BHOPAL : The state government has constituted state- level Laghu Udyog Samvardhan Board. The board has been constituted in fulfillment of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s announcement on October 8 at MSME convention during Global Investors Summit at Indore.

Commerce, Industries and Employment Minister has been appointed as Chairman of the Board. Its ex officio members include Principal Secretary Commerce, Industries and Employment, Commissioner Industries, MD, TRIFAC and MD, Laghu Udyog Nigam. The non- official members include Chairpersons of Madhya Pradesh Laghu Udyog Sangh, Laghu Udyog Bharti, PHD Chambers of Commerce & Industries, ASSOCHAM, CII Madhya Pradesh, Association of Industries Madhya Pradesh, All- India Manufacturing Organisation, MP Association of Women Entrepreneurs and Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industries. The government has also inducted 5 non- official nominated members from other industries associations.

Director MSME Industries has been appointed as Member- Secretary of the Board. The Board will give advice and suggestions for augmentation of MSMEs and solve problems of industries.

The Board will present its recommendations to an apex committee headed by the Chief Minister. Meeting of the Board will be held quarterly.
