Stale and rotten food items being sold openly

Jhabua : Municipal and Food and Drug Administration authorities have failed to stop sale of rotten and stale food stuff on roadside eateries and carts. Fruit and cane juice, varieties of food stuff are being sold on roadside carts and eateries in very unhygienic conditions which pose threat to the health of people who consumes it. Many cases of food poisoning and spread of diseases due to consumption of unhygienic food have been reported especially in rural areas. Besides, the municipal authorities have also turned a blind eye towards cleanliness and mosquito control measures. These have led to accumulation of garbage on streets and also proliferation of mosquitoes. Inactiveness of authorities has led to anger among citizens.
