THANDLA: Various social organizations of the town came forward and join hands to clean the town as despite many complaints of choked nullahs, unclean surroundings and heaps of garbage, municipal council failed to make any attempt to clean.
Setting an example for others, one such social worker Dr Kiranbala Chaturvedi along with some youngsters started the cleanliness drive in the town and to publicize their effort they made an appeal to other residents to join the drive. She has been working along for the betterment of the society since past 40 years and providing her services at regional community health center. On Wednesday, her brigade cleaned the area of regional Bawadi temple, MG road, bus stand and Ambe Mata square.
They also cleaned the choked nullahs and took out the trash. Residents were irked over the apathy of the municipal council as no official or sanitation worker participated in the cleanliness drive.
