BHOPAL : In a heart wrenching incident, a six-year-old girl died after a portion of wall of the neighbouring slum collapsed on her at Shyam Nagar within the limits of Hanumanganj police station on Monday morning.
In the aftermath of incident, she was immediately rushed to a hospital where doctors pronounced her brought dead and police were informed.
TI Habibganj Sudhir Arjaria said that the girl was identified as Nisha (6), daughter of Ganesh Uike, a resident of Shyam Nagar slum area.
The incident took place at around 8:30 am while she was playing along with her siblings and other children of the locality near a dilapidated slum. Due to the rainfall which took place in morning the wall of slum caved in on her.
Her mother Virodh Bai extricated her from the debris and rushed her to nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.The father of deceased is serving a jail term. Nisha resided along with her mother and two elder sisters. Police have registered a case of accidental death. The body was handed over to grieving family members after the post-mortem.
In a similar incident on October 7, Charan (4), son of Bhuwan Das had died after the wall of the neighbouring house, besides the courtyard where he was playing collapsed on him at Meera Nagar in E-6 Arera Colony within the limits of Habibganj police station. He died while undergoing treatment.
