BHOPAL: A Sub-Inspector posted at Police Headquarters committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance on Wednesday. The Jehangirabad police on information registered a case and started investigations. TI Jehangirabad Ghanshyam Dubey said that the deceased Abhishek Tiwari, 37, son of DD Tiwari, resident of Rustamji Lines in front of Police Control Room, was a Sub-Inspector posted at PHQ in the CID. He lived with his wife and four-year-old son in the house. His wife informed that his condition started deteriorating on Tuesday night around 10.30 pm after which he was taken to Chirayu Hospital at Peergate. On Wednesday around 1 pm he took his last breath while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Later on the information of the doctors police reached the hospital registered a case and sent his body for post-mortem examinations. The reason as to why Tiwari took such extreme step remained unknown. TI Dubey said that the PM report is awaited and situation would be clear once it is received.
