Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In his monthly Mann Ki Baat address on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised cookies made from Mahua flowers in Chhindwara district. Highlighting the significance of flowers, Modi said while some beautify homes and others are used in perfumes, Mahua flowers are finding new uses.

"Villagers, especially from tribal communities, understand the importance of Mahua flowers. Now, in Chhindwara, cookies made from these flowers are gaining popularity," he said. Modi credited four sisters from Rajakhoh village for pioneering this initiative.

Their innovation has received widespread appreciation and is contributing to self-reliance, he said. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav lauded their efforts, saying that entrepreneurs in Madhya Pradesh are setting new benchmarks for self-sufficiency. He said that Prime Minister’s mention of Nari Shakti on the auspicious occasion of Navratri would inspire more women to turn their skills into successful ventures.
