Passengers welcome rail budget

Ratlam : There were the mixed reactions to the Union Railway budget, which was presented by the Union Railway minister in the Parliament on Tuesday. While majority of the people said that, there was need of improving basic infrastructure and the Union Railway Minister has rightly given importance to the basic issues like cleanliness at stations and trains, edible items and meals and other issues.

A passenger AL Mehta said that though there are less number of trains introduced in this budget but right emphasis has been given to the improvement of the cleanliness and Union railway minister has taken long term view. Another passenger Prakash Jain said that Information technology will change the working of the railways in next five years period which will result in ultimate benefits to the passengers.

A woman passenger said that she expected introduction of new trains in the Ratlam rail division but the step of providing special security to the female travelers is a welcome step.  A senior citizen  said that it had become very difficult to reach to the platform and coming back due to lengthy platforms but now provisions of battery run cart has been made by the railway minister will be of much use for the aged and disabled people.

A student trader Babulal said that separate terminal and logistic parks concept will boost to the trading activities. However, he hoped that in the next railway budget to be presented in February 2015 there will be complete provisions for running new trains and all areas will be equally benefited.
