MANDSAUR : BJP Candidate for the post of municipal council president Prahlad Bandhwar started his poll campaigning by visiting all the wards of the Khanpura region on Tuesday. He accompanied by MLA Yashpal Singh Sisodia, former BJP district president Mansingh Macchepuria and others sought blessings from the voters while visiting their houses.
Bandhwar started his campaigning from Pratapgad Pulia, Khanpura where he was welcomed by the municipal council president Rame Makwana. He later visited all the wards of the region and met the voters including women and sought their blessings.
Meanwhile, Congress candidate for the post of municipal council president Somil Nahata started his campaigning by meeting Congress hopefuls from ward nos. 30, 31, 32 and 33 and also holding a street corner meet.
He said that BJP is responsible for all the problems in the village. While BJP has increased the taxes, the facilities available to the villagers have become minimal, he added.
Former MP minister Narendra Nahata, district Congress president Prakash Ratdia and scores of supporters accompanied Nahata during his poll campaigning.
