NAGDA : A bike was set ablaze by the unidentified miscreants at the Grasim works colony situated at Birlagram on the intervening night of Sunday-Monday. The fire also damaged car and door of the house. However, the nearby residents controlled it and doused the flames on time and a big mishap was averted.

As per the information received, the bike of contractor Suresh Shah, parked outside his house was torched by some unidentified miscreants on Sunday night. Shah’s car was also parked near it, which caught fire but fortunately, his family members woke up on time and doused the flames with the help of neighbors. Birlagram sub inspector Chaudhary reached at the spot with his team and inspected the house. Police have registered a case under section 435 (mischief by fire or explosive substance with intent to cause damage) of the Indian Penal Code. They have taken the statement from Shah and his relatives and further probe is on.
