Aadhar, a child welfare organisation will organise a poetry music mime wit extravaganza ‘Meri Awaz Suno’ to mark World Autism Day on April 2. People from different walks of life and age groups will take part in the event and share their struggles, hurt, anguish, fear and success. All iconic monuments and establishments in the city will be lit with blue lights on the day.
Aadhar director Jagmeet Kaur Chawla told media persons at Amer Bakery Hut on Wednesday “We have been celebrating the day on April 2 for five years in Bhopal. A very interesting feature of this year’s celebration will be Meri Awaz Suno.” Aadhar is a child welfare organisation comprising doctors, therapists and professional counsellors and is devoted to assist and aid the growth of a child into a healthy and socially responsible human being. Career counsellor Dr. Anupama Maheshwari was also present on the ocassion.
#LIGHT IT UP BLUE#
She said, “This year, we are proud to announce that with the kind support of Bhopal administration and collector orders and all your help the city of Bhopal will observe #LIGHT IT UP BLUE# which is the International tagline for World Autism Day.” “All iconic monuments and establishments will be lit up in blue and we request each citizen of Bhopal to light up their premises in blue or put up 5 blue balloons to demonstrate their solidarity with the cause on this world Autism day,” Chawla added.
