BHOPAL : Three armed robbers barged into the house of a deputy director of MP State AIDS Control Society situated at E-Sector Ayodhya Nagar on Thursday afternoon in broad daylight and took his 50-year-old wife as hostage. They fled after robbing cash along with jewellery worth more than Rs 4 lakh. .TI Ayodhya Nagar Ashish Pawar said that Shashi Bakoria, 50, wife of Dr Tulsidas Bakoria, resident of Ayodhya Nagar in her complaint stated that she was alone in her home on Thursday afternoon when around 1.30pm three armed masked robbers carrying pistols entered her house. They threatened to kill her if she made a noise and held her captive at gunpoint.
The robbers instructed her to remove her ornaments which she was wearing including a gold mangalsutra, gold earrings and gold bangles. Then they instructed her to hand them over all the cash and valuables in the house kept in the almirahs. She did exactly as they instructed. The accused scattered around the things kept in the almirahs in search of valuables. After committing the incident the robbers fled the house threatening the woman that they would kill her son and daughter if she made some effort to raise an alarm or call the police.
TI Pawar said that Dr Bakoria is deputy director in health department while his son Dr Prashant is posted in Jabalpur.
