Rewa (Madhya Pradesh): An alcohol-party between two relatives turned violent in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa when a man allegedly shot his brother-in-law and set his car ablaze following an argument in a forest area on Tuesday night.

According to reports, a man identified as Salim Khan had gone to the forest along with his brother-in-law, Wasim for a alcohol session. After drinking alcohol, a dispute erupted between the two.

Brother-in-law sets the car ablaze

Enraged brother-in-law, Wasim allegedly set fire to Salim Khan’s car. When Salim tried to flee the scene, Wasim reportedly shot him in the leg. However, Salim managed to escape and reach the main road the next morning and sought help from passersby.

People present nearby informed the police about this, after which the police reached the spot and admitted the injured to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital.

A case has been registered against the accused, Wasim, who is currently absconding. Police have launched a manhunt. The reason behind the dispute is still under investigation.
