Madhya Pradesh: DHE creates 461 posts for 11 new colleges, 195 to be outsourced

BHOPAL: Department of Higher Education (DHE) has created 461 new academic and non-academic posts for 11 new colleges and 6 other colleges that have started new faculties this session, said DHE officials.

The order issued by additional secretary, higher education department, Viran Bhalavi mentions that the posts have been sanctioned for 11 new colleges that will start operating with this academic session besides 5 colleges starting new faculty for the undergraduate students and one college with new faculty for postgraduate students.

The order for creation of 461 new posts mentions that out of these posts 233 posts are dedicated academic and 228 are non-academic. For 228 non-academic posts only 33 are regular while 195 posts will be outsourced and filled through agencies.

Minister for higher education, Mohan Yadav said that the department has been instructed to start these 11 new colleges in this academic year. Students will be given admission in these colleges either through regular admission process or through counseling in these specific colleges starting from October.

When asked about new faculty for the colleges, Yadav said that temporary arrangements including guest faculty and redeployment of regular professors will be made this year. Process for regular recruitment is on and these posts will be filled with regular staff soon.

Principal secretary, higher education, Anupam Rajan said that appropriate arrangements will be made to ensure that students who take admissions in these colleges have appropriate number of teachers.

Most of the new colleges that start this academic session are located in far flung areas. Minister Mohan Yadav said that there was no dearth of resources and these colleges will have all facilities as they start operating.
