BHOPAL : The Income Tax department has raided the two premises of the Chirayu Medical College on Saturday, following the tip got from the CBI raid conducted on Friday.
A team of CBI raided the Chirayu Medical College on Friday in connection with a Vyapam scam case registered in Gwalior on the report of an RIT activist in 2014.
Raids were conducted at five locations including the college and residences of managing director and administrative officer of the college. Incriminating documents recovered during searches are being scrutinized.
Cash, jewellery and other valuable assets worth Rs. 2 crore were found during searches. Following the tip got from CBI raid the IT department also conducted raid in two places. The officials are collecting the details of the income and the expenditures, the raid could be extended to other places also and the details of the search are yet to come.
