BHOPAL: State capital and nearby areas are likely to experience heavy rains from Monday onwards. The system which is being formed at Bay of Bengal is getting stronger and it is likely to move toward Madhya Pradesh and it will precipitate from Monday. The circumstances are favourable for the rain in the state.
A spell of light showers lashed the city on Saturday providing much needed relief from humid atmosphere. Throughout the day, it was humid but by the evening, it rained with gusty wind. This isolated rain is likely to gain momentum and potential and more moisture is likely to add in atmosphere for precipitation.
Director Meteorological department Dr Anupam Kashyapi said, “State capital and other near by areas are likely to experience heavy rain from Monday onward. The well marked low pressure areas over West -Central and adjoining north-west Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh is getting stronger and it is likely to move toward Madhya Pradesh.
He said, “South-Odisha coast has concentrated into a depression over northwest and adjoining West-Central Bay of Bengal. The system would move northwestwards and cross Odisha, Madhya Pradesh. Rain and thundershowers would occur at many places over Indore, Hoshangabad, Jabalpur divisions.”
