BHOPAL : Special Task Force (STF) of MP Police is yet to give official clean chit to former chief of MP Professional Examination Board Ranjana Chaudhary in multi-layered scam after three-day quizzing, she reportedly says she is now tension-free.
She was quizzed only on fraud in Pre PG-2012 test in which answer keys were leaked a day before the test as per plan of racketeers, doctors and Vyapam officials and later on Sunday, STF officials seized original note sheets and orders, blank temper-proof envelops and various other things of her tenure.
Chaudhary got her detailed statement recorded on all questions raised by the STF officials, furnishing facts about Pre PG test. She on Sunday left for Indore to go to Hyderabad and said that she is now tension-free. She was summoned by STF.
Her role as ‘suspect’ had emerged in the PG medical entrance test on the basis of statement given by examination controller Dr Pankaj Trivedi, and her selection of leaked set of question paper on the same day of the test organised, said sources.
Besides, the officials wanted to know as why she changed the date of the test from January 8 to March11, 2012. She was in the US in January 2012 and had changed the date of Pre PG test for March, said STF sources.
Chaudhary stated that she had to postpone the test because it was earlier planned to provide admission through All India Post Graduation Test and later, the government changed its decision following reply from the centre that it needed 90 days time in advance to include Madhya Pradesh for the centre test. She was questioned also about announcement of Pre PG results within 6 days after holding the test.
Many of twenty toppers in the post graduation entrance test had got admission through racket and STF so far has identified 20 such candidates, who each paid Rs 50 lakh to 75 lakh for admission in medical colleges. Dr Trivedi, examination controller, had leaked model answer keys to some candidates after taking huge money.
