BHOPAL : Weather turned cloudy on Thursday with a light drizzle in the morning. Weather man attributed it to local phenomena.

The rain provided some relief from the growing day temperature and sunny weather. The temperature is expected to increase again after couple of days.

Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 34.3 degree Celsius which was 2 degree Celsius above normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 22.4 degree Celsius which was 4 degree Celsius above normal.

On October 21, day temperature was 36 degree Celsius. So it shows the drop in day temperature.

However, a cyclonic circulation is over Lakshadweep and its adjoining region. An anti cyclone can also be seen over South Rajasthan. Another cyclonic circulation is over Southwest Bay of Bengal, east of Sri Lanka coast.

A Western Disturbance is over North Afghanistan and is likely to give rain in next 48 hours at some places in North India. Isolated rain which occurred in various parts of Madhya Pradesh has nothing to do with the said change in weather front.

Director Meteorological department Dr Anupam Kashyapi said, “Just because day temperature which was high continuously, it rained in the state capital and other places. There is no as such system over central part of the country.

It is totally local phenomena. Temperature will again increase after next couple of days. In November, temperature will start falling.”
