BHOPAL : Congress MLA Dr Govind Singh has charged Minister Lal Singh Arya with promoting illegal activities and mining in Bhind and alleged that the district administration was not taking action against him.
In a press conference at PCC, Dr Singh said the minister provided land on patta to some people and when it was investigated, patta orders were cancelled. The land reserve for industries and forest was mined in the district and the minister sheltered illegal miners.
He questioned the extension to Lokayukta PP Naolekar and said the ombudsman was benefited because he gave clean chit to ministers including former minister Archana Chitnis in green board and Dev Putra magazine irregularities. He said he would move to High Court against Chitnis.
