BHOPAL: Ziqitza Health Care Ltd, which is under CBI scanner, took over the charge of 108 ambulances from GVK EMRI on October 8. The 108 ambulance has been in the news for the last few months for not delivering services on time, due to which patients had to suffer. Naresh Jain, CEO and Manish Sacheti, CFO of Ziqitza Health Care claimed that they will try to change the face of the service.
The company is be being probed in the Rajasthan Ambulance scam, along with former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and other officials. Naresh Jain said that the company is not guilty of anything and also denied on the ban on Ziqitza in Rajasthan. “We served the Rajasthan government for three years and the legal team is working upon the case and Ziqitza is not guilty of any scam”.
NHM has entered into a contract with Ziqitza to provide an integrated service under which, it will provide 108 Ambulance, Janani Express, Mobile medical units and 104 helpline number.
Ziqitza has began the integration process of Janani express, 108 ambulance and Mobile medical units.
“Our response time will be maximum 8 rings on call and the arriving time of the ambulance will be 30 minuets in urban areas and 40 minutes in rural areas. We presently have began with 604 ambulances, 735 Janani Express and 147 mobile medical units”, said Naresh Jain.
Madhya Pradesh has entered into a per kilometer contract with Ziqitza, where per kilometer charge will be paid to the company at Rs 17/ kilometer and to monitor the distance and reaching possibilities of the ambulance, GPS system will be installed in every ambulance.
Employees protest
The employees of 108 ambulance are under extreme pressure as they claim that they have not been told the term and conditions of joining. The employees have been asked to sign the appointment letter without terms and conditions. CFO, Manish Sacheti said that they are in continuous contact with the employees and also claimed that they have informed the terms and conditions to the employees, whereas the employees denied any such information.
