Event organised at 52 places in 17 districts; Modi harps on terrorism
BHOPAL: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s programme ‘ Chai Pe Charcha Namo Ke Saath’ on good governance was organised at 52 places in 17 districts across the state on Wednesday. The programme, however, was far from spontaneous. It was well- orchestrated with the questioners identified in advance. The idea was to prevent Modi being put in an embarrassing position.

The only person from Bhopal to get an opportunity to interact with Modi was Saurabh Sharma, a junior functionary of a private company. He asked Modi how good governance would help deal with terrorism. The questioner was surrounded by local BJP leaders and it was apparent that he had been chosen for the opportunity.
In his opening remarks before the interaction, Modi said that ‘ Chai par Charcha’ was a sort of ‘ Parliament on footpath’ where amidst sips of tea, national issues would be discussed. Modi, through DTH satellite and social media, interacted with senior leaders and responded to people’s questions on good governance across the state and the country.
In Bhopal, BJP state president Narendra Singh Tomar and state organisational general secretary Arvind Menon at Anand Poha Bhandar, MP Nagar, communicated with Modi.
Narendra Modi, replying to questions posed by people at this place, said the issue of internal security in the country was very important and we need to frame stricter rules. He cited the examples of USA and other countries in this regard. He said Central government should have zero tolerance policy towards terrorism which is the enemy of mankind and has no caste or religion. He said we need to make strong laws system to tackle terrorism and ensure speedy justice.
He emphasised on the use of technology and said that good technology could even thwart the intentions of terrorists and eliminate terrorism. The event was held at nine places in Bhopal including New Market Rangmahal Square, Gautam Nagar Darbar Tea Stall, near Sargam Cinema, Manoj Tea Stall at Mata Mandir, Vijay Tea Stall at New Market, Darbar Tea Point, Rachna Nagar and adav Tea Stall, Indrapuri. The programme was organised under the aegis of BJP Citizen for Accountable Governance ( CAG).
