Denial of ticket to 10 sitting MPs in Chhattisgarh has shocked the BJP leaders in Madhya Pradesh too. Chhattisgarh party in-charge Anil Jain said that all sitting MPs would not be given ticket this time. The decision has created apprehension that several sitting MPs in the state too could be denied ticket.

Currently, the BJP has 26 MPs. The threat of ticket denial is hovering over more than a dozen members. Report of a survey conducted by national president Amit Shah has painted a negative picture of these MPs. These members belong to the seats, where the saffron party fared badly in the last assembly polls. Shah, prior to the assembly polls, had stated that if the BJP does not get expected result from the areas of sitting MPs then they may face the axe in the Lok Sabha elections.

It is certain that new candidates would get ticket in place of Dewas MP Manohar Untwaal and Khajuraho MP Nagendra Singh, who have become MLAs. Following scrutiny committee’s decision against Betul MP Jyoti Dhurvey in the fake caste certificate case, she is certain to lose the ticket.

Sushma Swaraj has refused to contest elections from Vidisha. Besides, there are chances that Subash Patel from Khargone, Gyan Singh from Shahdol, Bhagirath Prasad from Bhind, Anup Mishra from Morena, Sudhir Gupta from Mandsaur, Savitri Thakur from Dhar, Laxminarayan Yadav from Sagar and Bodh Singh Bhagat from Balaghat too may not get ticket this time.
Similarly, Phaggan Singh Kulaste, MP from Mandla may be shifted to Chhindwara while Gwalior MP Narendra Singh Tomar may be fielded from Morena. Ujjain MP Chintamani Malviya may be given ticket from Dewas.

Modi’s blog jolts those seeking  ticket for kin
The blog written by PM Modi against dynastic politics has come as a shocker to some leaders seeking ticket for their family members in the Lok Sabha elections. Modi in the blog has clearly written that he was against dynastic politics. Former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is seeking ticket for his wife Sadhna Singh Chouhan, former minister Bhupendra Singh for his wife Saroj Singh, leader of Opposition Gopal Bhargava for his son Abhishek Bhargava, former minister Narottam Mishra for his son Sukarna Mishra, former minister Gaurishankar Bisen for his daughter Mausam Bisen and MP Laxminarayan Yadav is seeking ticket for his son Sudhir Yadav.
