Bhopal: Thieves take away only cash, spare gold rings

BHOPAL: The burglars struck at a house taking advantage of the landlord leaving behind door un-locked. The burglars decamped with cash but not left behind gold rings. The theft took place in a house in Prince Colony under Shahjahanabad police station. However, sources said that thieves stole Rs 10 lakh cash. As per the Shahjahanbad police sources, Dr Syed Shahid Ali, resident of Prince Colony, Shahjahanabad, had gone with wife to New Market for shopping. There are two doors of his residence-first the channel gate and other is wooden door. He put locks at channel gate but forgot to lock the wooden door. The burglars took the advantage of un-locked wooden gate and stole the cash.

In his complaint, Dr Ali told police that there were two gold rings of his wife on table but miscreants did not steal the gold rings. When complainant returned from market, he found the doors open and later inside the house he found the cash missing from almirah while the gold rings were on the table.
