BHOPAL: Day as well as night temperatures continued to sour in Madhya Pradesh and most of the places recorded 40°C on Friday. Rajgarh, Dhar, Gwalior, Hoshangabad recorded 40°C. The weatherman attributed the sudden rise to a cyclonic circulation. Bhopal recorded maximum temperature of 38.8°C which was 4°C above normal while the minimum was 20.9°C, 2°C above normal.

The weatherman said dust storm at isolated places over Chambal, Ujjain divisions and Gwalior, Guna, Datia, Khargone, Rajgarh, Damoh and Hoshangabad districts were likely.  The Western Disturbance as an upper air system persists over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir.  Its induced cyclonic circulation is marked over Central Pakistan and adjoining West Rajasthan. An east-west trough is seen extending from Northeast Madhya Pradesh to Assam. Both maximum and minimum temperatures have increased across Uttar Pradesh and east Madhya Pradesh.  Isolated dust storm may occur over parts of Rajasthan as well.
