BHOPAL: A meeting was conducted with the telecom companies to provide the live location of the caller to Dial-100. The companies are not providing the live location of the caller, which is creating problem to execute the Dial-100 programme properly.
ADG Anvesh Manglam took the meeting of the nodal officers of the telecom companies wherein he informed the officers that they were only providing the subscriber data and not the live location of the caller. The ADG also informed the officials that under the Government of India emergency calling services 112, the MP Police Dial-100 had been appointed as a Public Safety Answering Point.
The State Emergency Response Centre of the services will be Dial-100 control room situated at Bhopal. In the meeting other officers including SP Amit Saxena, Chandrasekhar Solanki, DSP Harsih Motwani and others were present.
