Bhopal: State academy athletes make it to Natl Karate C’ship

Bhopal: Ten athletes of MP State Martial Arts Judo Academy have been selected for Senior National Karate Championship, Vishakhapatnam. The selected athletes have departed for Vishakhapatnam with an eighteen member team which includes Geetika Pant and assistant coach Vijay Shankar Pandey to participate in the championship.

Before their departure, the athletes along with their coaches met department of sports and youth welfare, director, SL Thaosen. He congratulated the athletes for their selection for the tournament as they were selected according to their performance at the SGFI recently held at Indore.

The director encouraged the athletes to win medals in the tournament and also wished them luck. The names of selected players are- Sandeep Raikwar, Vijay Chaudhary, Rahul Mishra, Deepak Mishra, Jaiprakash Yadav, Arun Verma, Antim Yadav, Shivani Yadav, Yamini Maurya, Mahima Pathak, Juhi Singh, Naushin Khan and Nandini Depale.
