Higher education department is now looking into appointments of two dozen employees in Barkatullah University who were inducted during BJP rule.  About two dozen employees are working in the University without state government’s approval. Higher education minister Jitu Patwari has sought details of all the employees after complaint.

The matter came into light after complaint made by former assistant director Arvind Kumar, along with all the proofs. Kumar was sacked about a year ago.  Kumar has given details about two dozen employees working in the university on posts that have not been sanctioned by the state government. Kumar has demanded from the minister that his services too should be restored on the same grounds as he too was removed giving reason that his post was not sanctioned by the government.

BU Vice Chancellor Murlidhar Tiwari had invited applications for the posts of one director, two deputy director and two assistant directors in which Arvind Kumar was selected. Nevertheless, when the matter came to light that these applications were invited against posts that were not sanctioned, these recruitments were cancelled by the principal secretary higher education KK Singh, then.

Later, PS Singh suspended the then registrar LS Solanki for his involvement in this case. VC Tiwari was relieved after implementing section 52 in the university.  Arvind Tiwari has complained the whole matter to higher education minister Jitu Patwari along with all documents- ranging from advertisement issued by BU to the letter written by then VC Tiwari asking for sanction of posts from the government. Minister Patwari has sought all the details from the department.
