BHOPAL: A delegation of State Police Service officers met ACS, Home, KK Singh on Wednesday to demand early initiation of the process of elevation of SPS officers to the IPS.
Thirty posts in the state cadre of the IPS are to be filled up through promotion from the SPS. Ninety officers will be short-listed for the purpose. The UPSC will scrutinise the proposals and conduct interviews of the candidates.
ASP, Rajesh Chandel informed that the delegation urged the ACS to prepare the proposal as early as possible and hold a meeting of the DPC.
