Meghnagar: Members of Sant Nirakari Charitable Foundation, Meghnagar branch celebrated ‘gurupuja diwas’ by organising a cleanliness campaign here on Thursday. Over a hundred railway stations across the country have been cleaned, among which platforms 1 and 2 of Meghnagar railway station were also cleaned.
A large number of men and women participated in this event. The volunteers took instructions from railway officers and accomplished the mission accordingly. Information about the works and objectives of Sant Nirakari community was also given. Mangal Singh of the community said government schools, gardens and government offices were cleaned in towns and villages where there were no railway stations. Plantation and satsang ceremonies were also held on the occasion of Guru Janmotsav.
