BHOPAL: Protesting the shifting of slaughter house to their village, Chhawani Adampur residents on Sunday had to return without meeting chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan despite assurance given by ADM GP Mali for their meeting. When they went to the CM House, they were told that CM is not available. However, later it turned out that the Chouhan was at the CM House for the whole day on Sunday. They marched to CM House on Sunday to meet Chouhan regarding shifting of slaughter house from Jinsy. They said they were misled by the ADM.
On Saturday, the village residents had filed their objections and suggestions at collectorate. They have been opposing the shifting of slaughter house from Jinsy. MLA Rameshwar Sharma and Congress leader and leader of opposition in BMC council, Mohammed Saghir have already opposed the shifting of the slaughter house to Adampur Chhawani. But the government has put the plan before national green tribunal for selection of new site for slaughter house at Adampur. Hariom Sharma, member of Gramin Sagharsh Samiti, said, “We were misled by ADM GP Mali about CM’s presence. We marched there but when we went to CM House, we were told that CM is not available. So we returned without meeting CM. In fact, we were misled by ADM GP Mali.”
