CHHATTAPUR: MLA Manvendra Singh ‘Bhanwar Raja’ has said that Lord Rama teaches us how to remain within our limits and work in the interest of our family, society and country. Only if we do that can we describe ourselves as true Rambhakts.
The MLA was speaking as the chief guest at a felicitation ceremony organised by Shriram Janmotsava Samiti at Naugaon to mark Ramnavmi – the birthday of Lord Rama. The MLA said that we are facing problems today as having forgotten our duties, we are working for serving our personal interests only. Anjul Saxena, former chairman of the municipality said that our Indian culture teaches us to live with brotherhood. Naib Tehsildar Purushottam Gupta said that Rama was a character whose values and qualities one should try to imbibe. Senior journalists Santosh Gangele, Rajesh Agnihotri, Nanhe Raja, Lokendra Mishra, Himanshu Sahu, Jitendra Sharma, Rajiv Tiwari, Wazir Khan, Savan Dixit and Vinay Tripathi were felicitated. TI Umashankar Shukla, ASI Umashankar Chaturvedi and constable Reena Patel were also feted.
