BHOPAL: The National Security Adviser Ajit Doval is monitoring the probe into ISI espionage case busted in MP, said home minister Bhupendra Singh here on Wednesday.
The MP ATS had busted the ISI spying racket on February 9 and since then it is investigating the case. The case has also been brought to the notice of the Prime Minister’s Office and the office had called for information. Now the NSA Ajit Doval is going to keep an eye on the developments in the case.
HM, Bhupendra Singh Thakur informed that the case registered by the ATS was changing its nature day by day. Earlier it was assumed that it’s only a case of money laundering but now it seems espionage was also involved. The web of the ISI agents, he said, may be spread in other states and even beyond the national borders.
He added that the PMO had sought details of the case and the government has sent the information. He said that the ATS is probing the case well and there is no need to hand over the case to some other agency.
