BHOPAL: The pain of Hiroshima tragedy was highlighted in a 40-minute-long contemporary ballet ‘Yuddh Ab Aur Nahi’ wonderfully on Monday at Shaheed Bhavan under a concert ‘Swayam Sidhha’. Based on book ‘Hiroshima Ka Dard’, the ballet was choreographed by Shruti Kriti and Chandra Madhav Barik and presented by 20 artistes of Chaitanya Socio Cultural Society in Thangta, Manipuri and martial art. Sending out the message of no more war, the ballet presented a saga of a family which separated after the war. Apart from powerful performance of the actors, colourful lights, props, and background pre-recorded music were some of the major attractions of the ballet. Music was directed by noted music director Moris Lajras. Besides the ballet, an odisi dance presented by disciples of eminent odisi exponent Bindoo Juneja, mesmerised the music lovers. They began with Manglacharan ‘Basant Vilas’. It was followed by ‘Shiv Stuti’ and ‘Pallavi’. The programme was organised by Chaitanya Socio Cultural Society in memory of veteran choreographer Padma Shree Gulbardhan.
