Bhopal: Nepotism reigns supreme in Congress list

Nepotism reigns supreme in the list declared by Congress for assembly elections. Uncle and nephew will contest from adjoining constituencies. Same goes for cousins. Once again, the party have given the tickets to candidates who lost in 2013 elections.

Brother of ex-CM Digvijaya Singh and uncle of MLA Jaivardhan Singh, Laxman Singh will contest election from Chachora, while Jaivardhan Singh will contest election from Raghogarh.  MP Kantilal Buria’s son Dr Vikrant Bhuria will contest from Jhabua. Niece of MP Kalawati Bhuria will contest from Jobat. She is also cousin sister of Dr Vikrant. AICC secretary Satyavrat Chaturvedi’s son Alok Chaturvedi has got ticket from Chattarpur. The brother of departed leader Mahendra Singh Kalukhera, KK Singh too has got the ticket.

The party has once again reposed faith on candidates who lost in 2013. The party has given ticket to Arunoday Choubey (Khurai), Govind Singh (Surkhi), Surendra Choudhary (Naryawli), Munna Lal Goyal (Gwalior East), Adal Singh Kasana (Sumawali), OPS Bhadoria (Mehgoan), Pradyuman Singh Tomar (Gwalior).
