BHOPAL: The 35th national rowing championship was inaugurated at Water Sports Centre, Upper Lake of Bhopal on Friday. Chief secretary BP Singh formally inaugurated the championship. Singh in is address said Madhya Pradesh is swiftly moving in the field of sports. The efforts to promote sports are bringing results and the players are excelling at national and international levels.
Sports director, Upendra Jain said around 400 players from 23 states will be taking part in the championship. Races of 500 and 1000 metres under categories, singles scull, double scull, coxless-4, cox pair event will be held.
