Bhopal: Taking cognisance of several incidents of human rights violation across the state Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission (MPHRC) has directed the officials concerned to submit a report in the matter. The Commission has asked Chatarpur collector to submit a report in connection with the incident under in Chatarpur, where some influential persons have set the poor person’s on fire. It also asked about the assistance extended to the victim’s family.
The Commission has taken a serious note of the absence of police staff at Kanhar outpost under Pahargarh police station of Morena district. The Commission has sought a report from Morena superintendent of police (SP) and asked about the reason behind non-availability of police staff at the outpost.
It was reported that to lodge their reports people in the area have to go to Pahargarh police station, which is 25 kilometres away. The Commission has taken cognizance of the incident of molestation and threatening of a girl. The Commission has sought report from Satna SP, about the reason behind the delay in the arrest of the accused. The accused Dr Vikram Singh allegedly molested and assaulted his cousin, a minor. The accused also threatened the victim of dire consequences.
The Commission, taking note of the incident of police not filing report of a old woman in Vidisha, has sought a report from deputy inspector general of police, Bhopal. The Commission has asked DIG the reason for not lodging the report of the said woman about her missing son.
