BHOPAL: Controversies doesn’t seem to end for Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCST). Earlier it was director general of the institute who had gathered headlines and now it is a scientist against whom an inquiry has been constituted against scientist Shailendra Dabi.

He used to pocket all the money earned from selling tickets of planetarium, when he was posted at Ujjain. He was given a warning and let away earlier but he resumed it again. The misappropriation of funds was highlighted through the audit report.

Dabi was transferred to Bhopal in August 2018 and the bungling came to light. Audit report has held him guilty of misappropriating Rs 18 lakhs. MPCST official has ordered recovery of the amount with interest from Dabi. Now the complaints have been made with science and technology minister PC Sharma to speed up the action against him.
