Bhopal: A 17-year-old minor boy was arrested from Bhopal station on charge of allegedly raping a 19-year-old girl. The two were waiting to board a train for Gwalior when GRP personnel spotted them. One being questioned, the girl informed that she had fled from her home and was allegedly raped in a hotel near railway station by the boy. Mangalwara police have arrested the minor and booked him on rape charges.
The Gwalior-based girl had left her home as her father and her step-mother allegedly tortured her. She met the boy in a bus while she coming to Bhopal. The two boarded same train and came to state capital. Reaching city, the duo checked-in into a hotel where the boy allegedly raped her.
The duo who was to board a train to Gwalior were spotted by GRP personnel, They smelling something fishy questioned the two. The girl told police that she had been sexually assaulted. GRP took them to Mangalwara police station where a case of rape against the minor boy was registered. He was arrested and then sent to reform home, while the girl was sent to Gauravi One Stop Crisis Centre.
The girl told police that she was coming to Bhopal after fleeing from home in Gwalior on August 19. During the journey, she befriended a minor boy who hails from Bhind. The boy told her that he was going to Bhopal to take admission in a college. According to SHO Mangalwara Umesh Singh the girl was tortured by her father who even refused to come to Bhopal after police informed him about his daughter. Her maternal grand-father came on Wednesday.
