Bhopal: Bajaria police have nabbed three miscreants of “Painter Gang” involved in robbing two persons at knife point near Chandbad temple on Tuesday evening. The miscreants, including a minor, had assaulted and robbed two men and took away their mobile phones, Rs 6000 cash and documents.
The valuables were recovered from their possession, said Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. S.P) Zone-1, Sanjay Sahu while speaking with the media-persons in a press conference on Wednesday. ASP Sahu further said that after the incident, Bajaria police acted swiftly and nabbed three miscreants who were found to be involved in other criminal activities apart from the robbery on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old victim, Neeraj Raikwar, a resident of Dwarka Nagar in Station Bajaria was robbed while he on his way to home along with his friend Vikas Malviya. In his complaint victim stated that at around 7pm, they were having tea at a tea stall near Shani Mandir in-front of Kapda Mill when three miscreants and in the name of talking over some issue took them to a secluded area behind Ram Mandir and robbed them of their two mobile phones and Rs 6000 cash at knife point and when they tried to oppose they were assaulted by the accused.
Victims managed to escape and lodged a complaint with the police after which police registered a case under section 394 and 34 of the IPC and swung into action. The three accused were identified as Vikash alais Jitesh Kushwaha (20), his brother Vicky alias Jitendra Kushwaha (21) and Aman Soni (16) of Chandbad. The three are members of Painter gang. Vikas is a watch list criminal of Bajaria police and was earlier booked on charges of murder while Vicky has been booked for robbery. The two have been booked for robbery, murder, theft, burglary and other assault cases in the police stations.
